Pietro focuses his practice on European Union law and competition law, covering litigation on state aid, antitrust, and merger control before the European Commission and the Italian Competition Authority. Pietro also deals with unfair competition practices and commercial contracts, particularly in matters involving French-speaking parties. He regularly speaks on antitrust law in Masters of the Business School of Sole 24 Ore.

Pietro was previously a trainee at The Directorate-General for Competition European Commission (DG COMP), and at the antitrust competition & trade department of an international law firm in Brussels. He also practiced at the French desk of a law firm in Milan.

Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the EU has adopted a wide range of sanctions against Russian and Belarusian individuals and companies, including restrictions on export and access to financial markets.
